  • West Mendip Orchestra Concert

    West Mendip Orchestra Concert will take place on Friday 20th March at 7.45pm at Churchill Academy and Sixth Form School. The talented local orchestra will be performing a selection of acclaimed musical pieces such as Schumann’s Julius Caesar Overture, Greig Peer Gynt’s  Suite No.2, and Rimsky-Korsakov’ Symphony No.1. Tickets £10, concessions £8 and students £2.

  • Winscombe Quiz Night

    Come along to a Quiz Night on Saturday 21st March in Winscombe Community Centre, Sandford Road, at 7pm for 7.30pm. Tables of 6, £6 per person including ploughman’s supper. To book a table contact Jo (01934 844235) or Sally (01934 844357). Tickets can also be purchased from Winscombe Thursday Market. All proceeds to Winscombe Community Association.

  • Cheddar Valley U3A

    Cheddar Valley U3A meet twice monthly in Cheddar Village Hall and currently have almost 500 members and offer around 50 activity groups. Why not come and hear their next speaker? On Thursday 5th March, at 2 for 2.30pm start, there will be a talk on World War 2 on Mendip. In April, Alan Webb will talk about his life as a private investigator. Their next coffee morning, where there will be a demonstration of hobbies by various members, is on 19th March 10-11.30am. Non-members welcome, come and see if you like it.
